After we decided to have our own CHARITY Sanstha as “Aai Social Welfare Association – Wavanje, I was desperate to find PATH and directions to serve Community and Weaker sections. My search come to an end when I come across President Jakir Shikalgar, MMNF. (Maharashtra Community NGO Forum). We both had good discussions on this topic and after having understood clear Vision and Mission, opening of Community Development Centre (CDC-Wavanje) was decided. Accordingly, after due documentation, in October 2020, we opened our CDC – Wavanje. Al Hamdulillah. The main focus of CDC-Wavanje is to “Empower Community and Weaker Section Communities”. Accordingly FIVE point action plan decided as under:
Illiteracy amongst Minority is the main reason behind being economically backward. CDC to work towards improving the rate of literacy amongst Minority Communities and weaker sections.
Due to lack of awareness to good health, CDC to help these communities to get access to good healthcare through Health Camps.
Most of the community member (ladies, giant’s and kids), do not possess valid legal documents and that keeps them away / do not qualify for Govt. Schemes. CDC to help them to get such documents.
To process and issue legal documents to this community, CDC to open such centre.
We do give away food /rice/atta and grocery items to religious events and also once a year we also distribute Ramazan Ration Kits to all (irrespective of muslims), deserving families.
Considering economic conditions, it has been decided to offer Free services. Cost to be borne by Aai Social Welfare Association – Wavanje.
As per Indian Constitution, six communities are declared as Community Development. 1. Muslims, 2. Boudh, 3. Sikh, 4. Isae, 5. Jain, 6. Parsi. Govt has declared many schemes to improve the status of these Communities but due to lack of knowledge, 100% benefit is not being delivered. Therefore, it is CDC Wavanje to pursue awareness and related activities step by step, where we’ll need help from Govt. Officials/Administration and Social Lead
